Michael A. Bell
Senior Executive Vice President
John Hancock Financial Services, Inc.

Michael is Senior Executive Vice President, Retail Sector for John Hancock Financial Services. Michael currently serves as a member of Hancock's Policy Committee, which sets strategic direction for the company. Michael joined the company in 2001 following a 15-year consulting relationship during which he was integral to the development of Hancock strategies for the Retail Sector. Prior to joining Hancock, Michael was a founding director of Monitor Company Group LP, and built extensive experience consulting to the financial services, healthcare, information services, and manufacturing sectors. Additionally, Michael worked with leading insurance companies.
Michael serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for Brigham and Women's Hospital and as a member of the Board of Directors for Partners HealthCare System, Inc., Veridian, IGI/Earth Color and Smart Mail. Michael is a founder and managing director of Monitor Clipper Partners Inc., a private equity fund.
Michael received a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Werner Bonadurer

For more than fifteen years, Werner Bonadurer has built worldwide management and senior executive experience with a leading global banking organization as he has lived and worked in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Assignments included positions as Chief Operating Officer of UBS’ Investment Banking division (1998-99), as Member of the Group Executive Board and Global Head of UBS’ Group Division Trading & Sales and Risk Management Services with overall management responsibility for the trading and sales of equity and fixed income securities, interest rate and foreign exchange products, precious metals and other commodities (1996-98), and as CEO of UBS in Hong Kong (1993-95). Werner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration and has earned advanced academic credentials, including a Master degree in Business Administration (with honors) from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. In 2006, Werner completed his doctoral studies at the University of St. Gallen (HSG), Switzerland, with summa cum laude and obtained the degree of Doctor of Business Administration (Dr. oec) with concentration in banking and finance. In addition to his ongoing academic and research work, Werner serves as a member of the board of directors for several companies in Switzerland and the U.S.

Albert A. Holman, III
Founder and Managing Partner
Chestnut Partners, Inc.

Albert is the founder and Managing Partner of Chestnut Partners, Inc., a Boston-based private merchant bank specializing in financial advisory services for high technology, healthcare and consumer products companies. Albert is also the President of Chestnut Securities, Inc., a broker-dealer engaged in private debt and equity placements. Prior to founding Chestnut Partners in 1995, Albert worked at Kidder, Peabody & Co. Incorporated for 15 years, most recently as Managing Director and Head of Kidder, Peabody's New England Investment Banking Department with responsibility for all public and private company coverage in New England.
Albert is a member of the Board of Trustees of Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc., and a member of the Corporation of Partners Healthcare Systems, Inc. He also serves on the Board of the Boston Ballet.
Albert is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Harvard University's Graduate School of Business Administration.

Ron Kelly
President and CEO

Ron has been involved in the U.S. healthcare industry for over 8 years, focusing on rapidly growing companies, raising financing in the venture and capital markets, building and integrating companies, and conducting mergers and acquisitions. His impressive track record provides the insight and leadership needed to support Medicalis’ rapid growth objectives. Prior to joining Medicalis, Ron served in the position of Executive Vice-President of Mergers and Acquisitions with Mitra Imaging Inc. of Waterloo, Ontario for several years. With Mitra’s acquisition by Agfa-Gevaert, Ron became the Interim CEO of the Healthcare Informatics Division. Mitra is a market leader in the development of medical information and technology for hospitals and their integration into the healthcare enterprise. Previous to his association with Mitra, Ron was the CEO of a leading e-business software provider in the eye-care industry.
Ron is a graduate of Dalhousie University, Nova Scotia, with a combined Masters of Business Administration and Law degrees. Ron also holds an honors undergraduate degree in Finance and Management from the Memorial University of Newfoundland.


Odell E. L'Heureux Jr

Odell has over 20 years experience in technology and management consulting, and provides consulting and advisory services for emerging technology based business opportunities.
From 1999 through 2001 Odell was the Phoenix Office Managing Partner for Andersen Consulting / Accenture, with responsibility for more than 500 local personnel. During his 19 year tenure with Andersen Consulting / Accenture, Odell had responsibility for the Western Region Solution Engineering operating group for Financial Services of Andersen Consulting / Accenture, this included more than 400 professionals working on solutions in banking, insurance and capital markets. He also worked with clients in Federal and State Government, Healthcare, wholesale distribution, Transportation, revenue systems and Financial Services.
Odell attended the University of Arizona, where he earned a bachelor of science degree and graduated with distinction in both Computer Information Systems and Operations Engineering.

Matthew G. VanVranken
President
Spectrum Health Hospitals, Grand Rapids MI

Matthew VanVranken was recently appointed President Spectrum Health Hospitals Grand Rapids in May 2003. In his new role he leads Spectrums Grand Rapids hospitals; Butterworth and Blodgett campuses, DeVos Children's Hospital and Spectrums Continuing Care group which includes its Kent Community Campus and 80 plus ambulatory sites. Prior to joining Spectrum Health, Van Vranken served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, Brigham and Women's Hospital from May 1997 through May 2003. Matthew brings 20 years of healthcare experience to the Medicalis Board. He has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at the Hospital of Saint Raphael in New Haven, Connecticut. In addition, Matthew has held positions at Advanced Medical Testing Systems, Inc. and Christian Hospital Northeast-Northwest, both in St. Louis, Missouri.
A graduate of Ithaca College in New York, Matthew received his Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Werner Vanderhaeghe
Chief Legal Officer
Agfa-Gevaert Group

In 2001, Werner created his own company: Vanderhaeghe, De Wolf & Van Gerwen. The firm is assisting the Agfa-Gevaert Group, where Werner has been nominated Chief Legal Officer, with the restructuring and management of the Group’s legal function. The firm has also assisted Starlab N.V., a private, blue-sky research laboratory with campuses in Brussels and Barcelona, as general counsel with its international expansion and the development and management of an IP portfolio.
Werner has broad experience in international corporate, IP and financial transactions throughout the world as well as in EU competition matters. During the past 25 years, he has advised clients both as a private practitioner in New York and Brussels and as General Counsel of the Bekaert Group. In his 12 years’ experience as in house counsel, Werner developed considerable expertise in helping management respond to legal challenges and in developing comprehensive management systems to address complex legal issues on a timely basis. He has written and lectured frequently on EU law, including compliance issues in the area of competition and environmental law.
Werner received his Ph.B. and LLB. from the State University of Ghent, his M.C.J. from the University of Texas at Austin, School of Law, and completed the General Management Programme from Insead-Cedep in Fountainebleau. Among other bar associations and memberships he holds, Werner is a member of the International Bar Association. He is fluent in five languages and resides in Belgium.
